Cardinals RB Wells missing opener?

Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells missed practice again Thursday due to a bad knee and now it’s looking more likely that he could miss the opener this Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, according to the Sporting News.

“What concerns me, I don’t want this to be something in Week 12, Week 13 or Week 14 that you are having issues with,” coach Ken Whisenhunt told reporters Thursday. “If we feel Beanie has made enough progress by Sunday, he will play. If we don’t, like I said, I feel strongly about who we have at the position.”

Wells rushed for 793 yards and scored seven touchdowns last year.
